There are plenty of vegetarian / vegan foods out there, just waiting to be tried. For example, there are veggie burgers, fake chicken,bacon,sausage,beef; there are also delicious salads and fruits to be eating besides that nasty meat. If managed properly, vegetarian diets can be low in fat and cholesterol; reduce heart disease, cancer, strokes and obesity. Adopting a vegetarian diet can also lower blood cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and also lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes and colon and prostate cancer.

Chickens can be identified as the most abused animal on the face of the earth. The 9 billion chickens who are raised on factory farms never get the chance to do anything natural to them, like dust bathing. "They are bred and drugged to grow so large so quickly that their legs and organs can't keep up, making heart attacks, organ failure, and crippling leg deformities common. Many become crippled under their own weight and eventually die because they can't reach the water nozzles. When they are only 6 or 7 weeks old, they are crammed into cages and trucked to slaughter." "The dairy herd is sick-these are sick and diseased cows, producing pus-filled milk that even industry standards call 'unhealthful'" Cows give milk for the same reason humans do, for their offspring. Thus dairy cows are artificially impregnated every year. The cow only gets to see her babies for a day or so, and most males get sent to a veal farmer while females assume the same horrible life as their mother.

Veal calves live in small, dark crates where it is extremely difficult to lie or stand comfortably, this way their flesh stays tender. Calves raised for veal are fed a liquid diet that is low in iron and has little nutritional value, all so their flesh turns out white. Again, whoever thinks eating ANY type of meat is natural whatsoever, think again and do some research. "If you drink milk, you support the veal industry."
